I am a real food critic when I go out. So much so that my husband only goes out with me on special occasions…well this night was one of them, our anniversary! I had been to a few Melting Pots in other cities and loved them and was crazy to try this location. As a surprise, my husband took me. I was getting ready to critique every little detail and compare it to all the other Melting Pots that I had been to, but was stopped dead in my tracks. There was nothing for me to say, imagine that! It really lived up to its reputation. The décor was comfortable and tasteful, the server was very friendly and the food was just as delicious as I remembered. My suggestion when you go is to try the Big Night Out. It lets you experience everything! My husband just smiled on the way home, basically because I had nothing to complain about!

Not surprised that this place was started in dumpy Tampa Bay, FL., I mean that place as a whole is awful which reflects itself in this terrible chain restaurant. The staff were all new hires and tried to make the best of it but you could tell that they were told what to say, for example, our server kept making recommendations about how much he loved certain selections while his manager let us know is was the server's first night. I heard later on from another server at the next table over give the exact same ridiculous speech to their customers with the exact same "favorite" recommendations. This has corporate franchise written all over it, much worse than others. It was so blatent that I found it entertaining, they are seriously drinking the franchise restaurant kool-aid garbage at this place. The cheese, no joke, looked like shredded velveeta. The look of the shredded cheese can only come from a plastic bag as fresh cheese will stick together. The bring it to the table to put in a hot, steaming bowl to melt with a splash of beer and a couple of other ingredients with some apples and bread. I could of done better at my house with some easy-cheese and a piece of wonder bread. The salad was awful, it was filled with roasted nuts that you would find on a street corner being sold in a bag for a dollar...anyone who has visited manhattan or boston know what I'm talking about. The actual dinner was cooked in a bowl of broth, so your meats and fish were all cooked together and tasted alike as well. It was NOT NOT NOT good, at all. For the amount of money they charged me it made me really feel like I was some idiot, which maybe I was for accepting and paying the bill. Dessert was comprised of a pretty awful mix of extremely cheap melted white chocolate and caramels. Your dipping items were rice krispie treats!! haha, garbage! and marshmallows!! A complete joke! Needlees to say, complete garbage, a complete ripoff and you have to cook your own food! Don't go!

So it was my birthday and we booked a table for 2 for 4.30. They told us that we will need to empty the table by 6.30 so "please come by 4.15", which we did. We reached at 4.15 and they told us that our reservation was at 4.30 and that is when they will seat us. So why did they tell us to come early???
We were seated and saw the menu that said "fixed Mother's Day menu". We had no idea, the lady on the phone (whom we spoke to several times) never mentioned once that it was a fixed menu. We told our server this and asked if they can make an exception because we were unaware of this, and she said she will ask the manager. This person comes by (who apparently was the manager) and said she cannot make an exception because she wouldn't know how to ring us, if we only wanted to eat 2 cheese fondues (what we always order here). We requested several times and also said that the reason we came here is to celebrate my birthday and we weren't told about the fixed menu. Same experience as the person who wrote another review -- She didn't even bother to wish me!
She said she will have to take up this issue with the girl (who booked our table but failed to make us aware of the fixed menu) but there is nothing she can do for us. One apology, no wishes, no coupons for next time - NOTHING! Inspite of us saying that we were thoroughly dissapointed and they are potentialy losing a regular customer.
And this isn't the first time we have had this horrid experience at the Burlington location. Once we ordered Chocolate Fondue in which the waiter said that she will charge for extra dippings -- they never used to charge for extra dippings before so who made this rule????? Then we told her about this and said she might be able to throw in few extra pieces of one of the dippings (like she is feeding a stray cat) -- HOW CHEAP!!
OVERALL THE SERVICE HERE IS HORRIBLE AND RUDE AND FOR THE $$$$ THEY CHARGE THIS IS NOT GOOD SERVICE AT ALL.

What a great evening of dining! I brought my party of six to the restaurant to celebrate two birthdays. It was a unique and wonderful experience for all of us. The service was terrific and the food wonderfully delicious. It was an eating experience beyond our expectations. We will definitely be going back!

A whole crowd of us went here a few weeks ago. The food was to die for and the service was impeccable. What a fun way to spend an evening with friends, not the normal dinning experience at all. You will love the way they have "tucked" the tables in here and there to give you lots of privacy. Looking forward to taking my husband here for a nice romantic evening. I highly recommend this restaurant.

After having a wonderful experience at the Burlington Melting Pot where we spent close to $300.00 for dinner, I recently returned to celebrate my 30th b-day and had an awful experience with the store owner. I received an email coupon for a free dessert for my b-day.
After ordering approximately $30 in drinks and prior to ordering the dessert we presented the coupon to the server who presented it to the store owner. The store owner refused to honor the coupon because we did not order any entrees. I told him the email did not mention anything about ordering an entree and he proceeded to be confrontational with us stating that "no business would be so stupid to give out free food." He finally conceded on honoring the coupon, but made a point to let us know that he was the store owner and for future reference he "wasn't in the business of giving away free food to everyone off the street. (keep in mind that the coupon was for a free dessert for two and we actually ordered a dessert for four).
Later, while we were eating our dessert, the egotistical store owner returned simply to prove to me that I was wrong about the coupon. (I had printed the email, not the actual coupon.) The store owner waived the coupon in my face and pointed to the part of the coupon which required the purchase of an entree. I apologized for my oversight and misunderstanding and he walked away in a huff without saying anything.
We then received the bill and were charged the full price for the dessert despite his previous representation that he would honor the coupon. Upon questioning him, he refused to honor his word, accused me of attempting to rip off the restaurant and told us to take our business elsewhere. I was astonished at his behavior and told him that he was incredibly rude. After much to do, he finally credited the bill the $16 for the dessert.
As we were leaving, the store owner was sitting at the bar waiting for us to leave and very antagonistically told us to “have a good night; enjoy your meal at a different restaurant.” We simply walked by him and he followed us out of the restaurant and stared at us as we walked away from the establishment. When we turned to ask him if there was a problem, he told us that we were his problem.
We will never go to this restaurant again. I previously worked in the restaurant industry for several years and am cognizant of my dining experiences, including interactions with the staff. I was and am still astonished at the store owner’s confrontational aggressive manner in which he handled the situation. While I may have been mistaken about the coupon, for him to argue with me over it is inappropriate and not worth the hassle over the $16. I was never even wished a Happy Birthday. I have received much better service at lesser scale restaurants.
This store owner is not someone who should be interacting with the public. It is clear that he feels as though he is superior and he is ill equipped to provide customer service. Apparently, the customer is not always right...

I had read about the girl's nights that they hold on Mondays and kept the restaurant in mind for when all the girls were in town during Thanksgiving. We were a group of 8 and it ususally becomes an ordeal to seat us so that we can actually all see each other and chat, but that was not a problem here. The large comfortable booth was perfect! Because price was an issue...we opted on having two cheese fondues then we all had salads and then 2 fabulous chocolate fodues!! We all had drinks and we got out of there including a 20% tip for under $30! The cheese fodue had way too much garlic and we all agreed when we go back we would ask to eliminate that part...but the Chocolate Raspberry fondue was to die for! Also, they are very generous with things to dip!! Definitely enough to clean out the pots!! :) Go and enjoy!!

We recently attended one of the Ladies Nite Out dinner evenings at The Melting Pot. What a blast...much more than all of us expected! It was a novel food experience. If you want fast food go to the 99 or Burger King. You are not rushed through your meal like other restuarants. Your taste buds will definitely not be displeased. This fondue meal is an experience to be savored. We never knew that so much could be done with cheese or in a simmering pot! Leave room for dessert - You don't want to miss it...a chocolate bliss trip best desribes it. The wine list was exceptional (always a plus) and the martini's are not to be missed either. We arrived early, were ushered to the bar area, and delivered to our table right on time. Not a bad way to de-stress from a hectic Monday in the office. Our server was great. He was engaging and knowledgeable. The restuarant decor is chic and the ambience very nice. One of our group us was a big wine buff and was delighted to "talk wine" with one of the staff. We felt welcome and will spread the good word about the new addition to Burlington's dining venue.
Monday is no longer blue - nor is it boring!

What a disaster this place is. We called and made reservations for 6:45 on a Saturday night, and when we got to there, Voila! NO RECORD OF OUR RESERVATION. We asked to see a manager, and when the EGO MANIAC with NAPOLEAN SYNDROME came out. He told us it was "HIS RESTAURAUNT" and he "DIDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING HE WANTED TO" when we told him this wasnt fair and that he needed to make the situation right, he let us know he might be able to squeeze us in if a table opened up at 8:15. What an absolute joke this place and its owner are. All for an overpriced meal that takes too long anyways.
Will never go here again thats for sure. Make sure to call and confirm your reservations.
We are FLOORED!
