String Beings

Widely acclaimed for its edgy, ironic and acrobatic performances, Snappy Dance Theater celebrates its 10th anniversary with the world premiere of String Beings.

Snappy Dance Theater embarks on its 10th anniversary with the premiere of this innovative performance. Multiple media - including technology, music, and dance - are integrated to examine manipulation. BSO first violinist Lucia Lin will take part in an acrobatic routine while playing. The show was conceived in collaboration with new-media artist and PhD research scientist Jonathan Bachrach from MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory with music by composer Michael Rodach.
