Scott Kirsner, author of the new book, Inventing the Movies, takes us on an illustrated spin through 100 years of technological innovation in Tinseltown.

Kirsner, who writes the weekly "Innovation Economy" column in the Boston Globe, will use plenty of images and film clips to show how innovators ranging from Thomas Edison to Steve Jobs bucked the status quo to bring changes to the silver screen. Book signing to follow the program.
