Wednesday, December 3, free admission 4 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. Visitors will be admitted to the MFA for free, including admission to the special exhibition, Art & Empire: Treasures from Assyria in the British Museum.

5:30 p.m., Boston Children’s Chorus in the Lower Rotunda. The popular Boston Children’s Chorus will perform holiday favorites.

Gingerbread Museum is ongoing. The "Gingerbread Museum,” constructed by culinary students from the North Shore Community College will be displayed in the new Sharf Visitor Center.

10 a.m. – 9:45 p.m. MFA Bookstore and Shop Discounts.

Holiday first Fridays 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.in the
Koch Gallery. Art lovers can mingle at a special holiday edition of the popular MFA first Fridays series, while enjoying the music of the Bill Duffy Jazz Trio, fine art, a cash bar serving holiday cocktails, and a delicious tapas menu. (For ages 21 and older.)

Saturday, December 6, Amaryllis Chamber Orchestra, 1 p.m.-4p.m. in the Linde Family Wing (West Wing). Amaryllis Chamber Orchestra, one of the more innovative and interesting groups on the music scene, will perform programs from their chamber music repertoire for wind and string instruments.

Wednesday, December 17, New England Conservatory Millennium Gospel Choir, 7:30 p.m. in Remis Auditorium. Tickets required, $25 general admission; $20 members, students, and seniors.

The MFA Concert Program presents the New England Conservatory Millennium Gospel Choir in its fourth annual holiday concert at the MFA. As gospel music enjoys a renaissance in the new millennium, NEC’s Millennium Gospel Choir lifts its mighty voice. The 200 multi-racial, -ethnic, and -generational members from more than 36 area churches perform traditional and contemporary gospel, spirituals, and congregational songs to ring in the holiday season.
