WHAT: On Thursday November 19 2009, The Beehive presents the exquisite sounds of Cuban jazz with Grammy Award winning artist Dave Samuels. As the top mallet player of his generation, Samuels is recognized for his creative approach in both the vibraphone and marimba. In 2003, he received a Grammy Award for “Best Latin Jazz Recording” for the Caribbean Jazz Project’s CD “The Gathering.” Grammy award-winning drummer/ percussionist Mark Walker will be joining Samuels band this evening.
