This year's WBOS 92.9's EarthFest celebration has more musical options than ever and is expanded from its usual daytime format to include an after-party at the Hard Rock Café later that night. During the day there's the usual main stage action (music starts at 11:30 a.m.) with big names like Guster, KT Tunstall (right), Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Mat Kearney (below), and more. The smaller Boston Music Stage (music starts at 11 a.m.) will showcase local artists such as Will Dailey, Jake Brennan, Chad Perrone, Tim Blane, and Mieka Pauley. As usual there are kid-friendly activities, and in keeping with its theme of minding Mother Nature, more than a hundred environmentally minded vendors will air their wares. The after-party adds another great lineup that includes London pop band Vega4, which also plays the daytime event, and singer-songwriters Toby Lightman, Tim Finn, and newcomer Gran Bel Fisher. Bel Fisher's moody pop debut, "Full Moon Cigarette," has been a sleeper since its release a year ago. EarthFest is a free event. Entrance to the after-party is via WBOS on-air ticket giveaways.
