The Boston Common Frog Pond Skating Rink is privately funded and operated by the Boston Common Frog Pond Foundation, Inc. in partnership with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.
During the winter the Frog Pond is a wonderful place to go ice skating! Close your eyes and you may think you're back in the 17th century.
Other Seasons of the Year: The Frog Pond becomes a reflecting pool in the spring and fall of each year. Its tranquil environment is ideal for relaxing, reading the newspaper and enjoying a cup of coffee.
In July and August, the Frog Pond becomes a wading pool for youngsters. Its six-inch depth makes it ideal for toddlers seeking relief from the summer heat. A spray head provides a fountain of water that adds fun to the wading experience. There is no charge for this summer program.
