The Old South Church in Boston is an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, a mainline Protestant denomination that in 1957 united two Protestant traditions, the Evangelical & Reformed Church and the Congregational Christian Churches. We continue in a long tradition of progressive involvement in issues which uphold the rights, dignity, and equality of all people under God.
