Try homemade pasta from italian immigrants who makes everything from scratch and takes a full week to prepare an Easter meal....the food is fantastic. Only Strega comes close to my in-laws' cooking. Their risotto di mare is as good as the one I had at La Rosetta in Rome. The service is great- truly italian in every way!

I live in the North End, and have eaten at almost all the restaurants.... This place is forgettable. It was overprice and had a limited menu.
I agree with the other poster, the owner has an ego complex

My girlfriend and I went here on a special occasion because of all the hoopla. We made a reservation but were treated awful by the hostess as we entered on time and told to sit at bar until our table was ready. After sitting at the bar for 45 minutes waiting for our table with no updates on when are table was going to be ready. We finally sat at the wobbly table surround by huge pics of the owner all around us plastered to the wall with the Sopranos. Tacky??? I’m Italian American but it was almost comical how hard they were trying. I ordered the Frutti di Mare for around $50-$75 for the plate, I remember it was pricey, and it tasted like it sat out on Hanover St. in the sun all day, I didn’t even it and went to Regina after for pizza. Not sure what the girlfriend had but nothing to remember. I'm pretty easy to please and maybe things have improved there, but I won't be going back anytime soon. I just don’t get the hype.

We were a party of ten on New Years Eve. Valet parking $20. Courteous and friendly valets. Arrived at our designated time. Nicky the owner greated us at the door. Back wall of restaurant has a strip of screens, each showing different movies. We only waited 10 minutes for our table to be ready. We requested Carlo to be our waiter. Phenomenal!! Drinks were brought to the table quickly. Appetizers, chosen by Carlo, arrived quickly, were plentiful and delicious. Two plates of veal rolatini, two plates of shrimp and scallops and calamari. Entree's were reasonably priced and changes and substitutions were accomodated with a smile. Fettucine Strega was delicious, risotto was exceptional. All present raved about the food. When we couldn't decide on deserts, trays were put together and placed on the table. No coffee available, however, espresso and capucino (regular and decaf) was. Ten people, approx. three drinks each, apps, entrees, deserts and cappucino's only $160 a couple. Great way to spend an evening. Small restaurant recommend reservations. Great atmosphere and service.
