Grezzo Restaurant is located in the heart of Boston's historic North End. Set in rustic tones, the 28-seat candlelit restaurant with copper tables and crushed cranberry colored chairs specializes in organic, raw vegan cuisine.
At Grezzo (pronounced Gray-Zo, meaning raw in Italian) every dish is 100% Organic except when an ingredient is not available as an organic product.
This restaurant is an oasis for the weary vegan. Their food is amazing, their staff is friendly, their atmosphere is comfortable but formal enough that you know you really are dining out. Try the brownie sundae. It is to die for. Tastes like the real thing but with the added flavor of coconut!

I can't believe I'm the first to comment on this exceptional restaurant! I'm not vegan or vegetarian even, but I have to say that Grezzo has definitely made me reconsider my diet. This place makes raw food AMAZING! Must tries: the appetisers (rich and creamy gnocchi and delicious, familiar sliders), any mushroom dish (the marinade is amazing!) and DEFINITELY the desserts. It surprises me every time I have the ice cream how rich and satisfying it is (they ship the ice cream and cheeses too! Grezzo at home!)

There are no smells of cooking. There is no sizzle from the kitchen. Grezzo, in the North End, is a raw food restaurant (and vegan, and mostly organic) - no ingredient here ever gets warmer than 112 degrees, the temperature at which enzymes are said to be destroyed. (Full review)
