The Boston Globe: "Shabu shabu just might be the perfect food. The do-it-yourself hot-pot cooking combines the fun of fondue with the flavors of Japan, China, and Korea. It's healthy, unless you're watching your sodium intake. There is something for every taste - you can eat fish paste and beef tongue in spicy Sichuan broth, or rib eye and mixed vegetables in bouillon. And it's a meal that virtually requires you drink a certain amount of beer. Boston's in the middle of a mini shabu shabu craze right now, with two new places opening within months of each other on opposite sides of the street. Shabu Shabu Toki's a bit fancier, Shabu-Zen's broth is a bit better, but both are really good."
