A great contemporary restaurant with excellent food and a surprisingly friendly staff

My fiance and I were going to go out for Sushi to Haru tonight but as we walked past The Daily Grill (which is on Huntington, in between Haru and the Cheesecake Factory) we changed out minds. If you've walked past the Prudential Center on Huntington in the past few months you've seen the construction of the restaurant and I've been pretty excited based mostly on that picture of the giant filet they had outside. My fiance is more of a chicken/fish kind of person.
So we go inside, were instantly greeted by both a hostess and who we later found out was the manager, and sat in a both in the middle of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It has a lot of wood accents, dark colors, and a partially exposed kitchen (as well as an outdoor patio but it was getting a little chilly). Our waiter came up to us quite literally within seconds armed with some interesting recommendations for drinks. They have a decent size cocktail menu that doesn't have drinks that are over the top and completely obscure. My fiance had the blood orange martini and I had the pom mojito which was a little weak on the mint but still good.
You absolutely must get the ahi tuna appetizer. We've had the same dish elsewhere but this one was definitely tops. We asked our waiter if they used famous fish to make it taste better than normal tuna. I don't think he got the joke.
So for dinner I had the rib eye steak and my fiance had the roasted chicken. The rib eye was perfect, can't say much else about it. My fiance's chicken came out as basically half of a chicken, literally. I wasn't impressed but she loved it.
The best part though had to be the desert (of course). There's some pretty interesting sounding desserts on there. I guess there were two that weren't on the menu that our waiter made sound like it was God's gift to humanity. Some cupcake thing that he said came with a vanilla, chocolate, and (red velvet?) with icing and a fruit cobbler (which they had picture of in the restaurant).
We went with the chocolate cake despite his recommendation of the strawberry shortcake. The chocolate cake was probably the best chocolate cake I've ever had, and I don't even like chocolate cake. Of course my fiance battled me for most of it, she loved it.
So I can be a little wordy I know!
But all and all it was a great experience.
The food is superb, the atmosphere is very pleasant (though we thought there was quite an odd music selection), the bathroom was well maintained, the staff was unexpectedly friendly. We didn't really expect such attentive service from a new restaurant, especially not from a college student.
I didn't get the waiter's name but the receipt says Brandon. I'd definitely recommend him. The manager, (Steven?), was pleasant and he, along with a few other men in suits (maybe other managers?), made a few repeated stops to check on everything which the waiter said they were just doing because they had just opened so don't expect 15 visits from the manager like we got (it got a little annoying).

Anyway, it's definitely worth the trip!
