It ain't easy being a protester. Just look at the characters in Nicky Silver's "The Altruists." You've got anorexic soap opera actress Sydney being tapped for cash by her brother Ronald and his friendly fellow radicals, despite the fact that she's just shot her sleeping boyfriend. In Silver's sarcastic satire, the hypocrisy and aimlessness of righteousness gone awry gets its due. The play is presented by Boston Actors Theater with direction by Joey C.
