In the early 1800s, the North Slope of Beacon Hill was home to Boston's working class, but the rest of the mound was for the upper class. You'll see it all at "Magnificent and Modest: Beacon Hill Walking Tour," which starts with a tour of the Otis House Museum. This Bullfinch-designed Federal-era mansion was home to attorney and Boston Mayor Harrison Gray Otis and his wife, Sally Foster Otis.
