Paul Galbraith, 8-string guitar virtuoso, presents the opening concert in the Boston Classical Guitar Society 2010-11 Artist Series. Born in Scotland and now living in Brazil, Galbraith is renowned for dramatic innovations in guitar design, technique and original transcriptions.
Galbraith's program includes guitar transcriptions of J.S. Bach’s 1st Cello Suite and Haydn’s Sonata No. 44, Hob. 29 as well as von Einem’s Three Studies, Op. 34 and Spanish favorites from Granados and Albeniz.
