What effects do drugs have on the brain? Are the drugs treating the causes or the symptoms? Does the use of these drugs influence an individual’s identity, undermine personal responsibility, or have negative effects on society?
Join us for a presentation by Steven Hyman, MD, Professor of Neurobiology at Harvard Medical School and Provost of Harvard University. Dr. Hyman will provide insight on how addictive drugs work in the brain and the policy issues that are raised by their effects.
