An Italian filmmaker, played by Timothy John Smith, finds himself creatively blocked while also besieged by the women in his life, past and present. (Full review)To play a guy with lots of woman troubles, you have to be an actor whom actresses can trust. “It’s a physical play and emotionally risky,’’ says Timothy John Smith, who stars in the SpeakEasy Stage Company production of “Nine.’’ “So we all have to be really careful to take care of each other in a way that allows everybody to be free in the way they work, and to not feel like they are afraid to take physical risks, which are mainly all with me.
