MWRA Aquatic Invasives Control Project at Chestnut Hill Reservoir

Led by John Gregoire, Program Manager for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA), this program will planned maintenance project that will do mechanical harvesting of invasive species like Eurasian Milfoil and curly leaf pondweed during August at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. The Reservoir is an emergency water source for the MWRA system, as was demonstrated in last year’s response to a tunnel break. This work is necessary for the Reservoir's ongoing health.
