Fear at Fenway

A group of friends and I purchased VIP tickets for Fear at Fenway this weekend. We had been to other Spookyworld events before, and were excited to go to Fear at Fenway.

However, once we arrived, we were highly disappointed! Despite having VIP tickets, we were herded into a massive line with everyone else.

There were no lines to skip simply because it was one massive line - you could not choose which haunted house to go to, or when. Buying the VIP tickets to skip the line was a HUGE mistake! If we had bought the normal tickets, I would have been less disappointed, but as it was, we got nothing extra for our money.

With VIP passes, we did have the option to re-join the line and go through the houses again, but we decided against it. The houses were poorly organized. No matter how slowly we tried to pace ourselves, we were constantly running into the people in front of us, and had people behind us literally grabbing onto us! Very disorganized! It's also hard to be scared if you constantly see the people in front of you being scared first.

Overall, a waste of time, a waste of money, and a huge disappointment.

If you want a good scare, head to the Litchfield, NH location - for half the price of Fear at Fenway, you get seven houses and unlimited entrances with a VIP pass.

Next year, I will be passing on Fear at Fenway, and heading back to Litchfield.

I have not yet attended event, but have tickets for an upcoming date. I purchased these based on promise in an email of $10 off if purchased before 9/30. I purchased before 9/30, paying $35 per ticket. I was told the owners decided after the first weekend that they would change ticket prices - I'm guessing that it dawned on them that tickets were overpriced. Now the regular admission is $35. I contacted them about getting a refund for early purchase. They indicated they were only refunding those that paid $45, not the early purchasers paying $35. I would not have purchased as early as I did if I had known I was going to pay the same price. My sons basketball schedule was not available at the time so I had to make a best guest regarding a convenient time. As it turns out, the date I purchased tickets for is not very convenient. I'm very disheartened that the owners have not and do not plan to rectify this.

The real fear at fenway was in September!

Being a Halloween babe, Spookyworld is the place I love to be! Sox fan or not, this is THE place to be this weekend! Hit the one in New Hampshire two weekends ago and LOVED IT! Went to the fens with my roommates last Saturday night and was great - one of the haunts was like NH, but the other were not! Scary, fun, and pee your pants screams! Taking the dorm crew back Sunday night and don't know where you paid, but we are paying $20 bucks with our ID this weekend! Great time, great place, great beers at the Cask!

LEave it to the pigs at the Red Sox to completely overcharge for the exact same spookyworld show as the one up 93 in NH. Anyone that goes to this is an idiot.
