Join us for this gallery talk by guest lecturer Christopher Gilbert as we use ancient art to explore how the ancient world created and understood heroes. Using the art of Greece and Rome we will examine in detail artistic depictions of Greek myths, Homeric hymns and even the lion-skin capes of Roman emperors.
