SB8:Figure Modeling, Adult

Eight-Session Class: Thursday, June 28 - August 23 Course Description: Study the anatomy and gesture of a live model in a variety of poses. Practice short studies to explore themes of abstraction and interpretation. Using a wire armature, form the figure, then create a sculpture using Klean Klay (a form of plasticine). Course include Stick, MIG, and TIG welding; bronze casting; mold making; ceramic sculpture; live figure modeling; and jewelry making. All courses and workshops include a tour of the Museum's collections of sculpture and metals. Easily accessible by the Orange line, there is also on-street parking available. No experience necessary (except as noted); all course and workshop sizes are limited to provide a safe working environment. All tools and materials are provided.
