Two-day Workshop: August 11 and August 12 Course Description: This workshop provides the unique opportunity to draw directly from the wide variety of sculpture (spanning time periods and cultures) in the MFA's collection. Appreciating the form, texture, stillness, and dynamism of sculpture, this class will explore a variety of drawing techniques and mediums. Emphasis will be on light and shadow, value, proportion, dimensionality, and volume. All levels welcome. Instructor: Kaitlyn Stubbs Kaitlyn… Show more Stubbs holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting, with Anatomy Certification, from the New York Academy of Art (2012). She earned her BFA in Painting from the University of Georgia (2010). Kaitlyn's work has been exhibited in galleries in Athens, Georgia; Boston, Brooklyn and New York City. She has travelled extensively through South America, Europe, and Australia. While at NYAA, she received rigorous technical training in oil painting, drawing, anatomy, and printmaking. Living and working in New York City, she is a curator at The Cupping Room in SoHo and is currently preparing for an artist's residency in Leipzig, Germany.
