Even if the title of their breakthrough hit, “Ho Hey,” doesn’t reveal much of what the song is actually about — in broad strokes, it’s a less teen-angsty take on the tale Taylor Swift spins in “You Belong With Me,” with Chinatown standing in for the football game — it’s perfectly representative of the Lumineers’ music, telling listeners in its way exactly what to expect.
