Bach wrote a cantata for each of the six feast days of Christmas, and you'll hear half of them when the Handel and Haydn Society's Period Instrument Orchestra and Chorus present "Christmas Oratorio." Cantata I tells te story of the birth of Jesus; II is about the annunciation to the shepherds; VI is the adoration of the Magi. You'll have to get III, IV, and V elsewhere. - June Wulff, Globe Staff
