Four acclaimed virtuosos of Chinese wind instruments: Bao Jian, Hu Jianbing, Chen Tao, and Guo Yazhi on guanzi pipe, sheng mouth organ, dizhu flute, and suona, performing rarely heard ancient tune of Buddhist and Taoist music in its original style. The “Zhou Jintang” of the Beijing Zhihua Temple has 26 generations of master-teaching over more than 560 years. The music preserved by the Temple carries a significant meaning to Chinese musical history. Pre-concert lecture 6:30-7:30pm. Student Free.
