I love Indian food. Sad to say that there are lots of Indian Restaurants in the Boston area, but most of them are mediocre. India Quality is one of the best if you want a basic curry. I have been there countless times over the years, and never been disappointed. Service is prompt and the dishes are usually well- prepared. Prices are reasonable. It is not authentic home-style Indian cooking, but I always leave satisfied. This is a great place for a pre-Sox meal.

We checked out the reviews and decided to have lunch at India Quality Restaurant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary..
The chicken tikka masala was bland, not tongue tingling , spicy the way it's supposed to be..It was nothing like that in India and it tasted all artifiical...Felt like these people use short-cuts for making chicken..Believe me, I have prepared chicken so many times..in US!! This one did not have all ingredients at all ??!!!
We had also taken some chicken Biryani..It was terrible..we just ate 2 spoonful...it had green peas some vegetables and some boiled chicken pieces..And they called it 'chicken biryani'??? The chicken was not fried and cooked properly with no spices ..the funniest part was there was NO ONION in biryani!!! Can you believe it??? We should'nt have paid them at all!!!
The gulab jamun was very soft and the syrup was very watery..It was not thick and rich the way it's supposed to be.. The special tea tasted like sugar and luke warm water..
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone at all!! It's better you starve!

Long before the methadone clinic in Kenmore Square gave way to Hotel Commonwealth, before IHOP closed and Eastern Standard opened, long before the baseball team across the way redeemed itself, India Quality was here.
(Full review)That smell — it’s strangely familiar. It’s been a long time, but it’s unmistakable. It’s smoke in the air, the char of grilling meat, the scent of summer.
