Perfection @ No. 9 Park
We started out waiting @ the bar where two good looking young bartenders dazzled us with charm and drinks knowledge. Served dinner by a waiter who recited ingredients and preparation. We ate in the charming room behind the bar, elegantly decorated with gathered fabric, sconces and, stunning flowers. The service was beyond attentive, and the food delicious and beautifully presented. On my list of top 10 in Boston!

Trying to pinpoint the exact moment when the genesis of a trend took root can be difficult.
(Full review)Do too many restaurants spoil the cook?
(Full review)When I ask serious foodies about the most famous dish in Boston, the prune-stuffed gnocchi with foie gras, toasted almonds, and vin santo at No. 9 Park is suggested by the most people. Chef and owner Barbara Lynch developed the dish some 15 years ago after a trip to Italy to learn pasta-making. Our waiter recites the catechism: ". . . so she added foie gras, and the prunes, and the rest is history!"
(Full review)Restaurants try to accommodate a lot of different kinds of dining these days, and Rialto and No. 9 Park are no exception. But while both establishments might seem better suited to special occasions, they also offer bar menus that fit our casual-yet-special demands of the holiday dining season.
