For the Baby Boomer that's looking to shake-a-leg, this is one of the few places Boston has to offer. While most of Beantown's nightlife is (understandably) geared to the bump'n'grind 20-somethin's, the Copley Terrace books high-quality, big-sound-bands playing a wide range of music from Swing to Top-40, Jazz, Rock, and plenty of fusions. The formal (parquet) dance floor is very small (30-40 max.) but there's another 1000 sq ft of tiled walkway behind the bar that works perfectly as an overflow dance floor. Food/bar menu pricey, but excellent.
The Zaitchek (sp?) Bros. are a "don't miss", especially when the electric-fiddle man has come out to play with them.
Oh, and btw, the staff is outstanding, especially Jane.
