This hip, wee joint is such a great addition to JP. I am so pleased the owner decided to take a chance on Hyde Square. We are happy he did! The food (Scottish) is heavenly. Very comforting and wholesome, great flavors. The room has been transformed, the staff is welcoming, and the beer/wine selection is perfectly matched to the food offerings. I heard live music is scheduled to appear in September and I cannot wait to try out some late night nibbles while listening to some sweet tunes. I plan on making this place my new home away from home.

Love the concept of the cheeky British restaurant. took the place of the former Zon's which was much loved. This place lives up to the promise with an opened space and much improved feng shui.
With classic Brit/Scot menu items as the deep fried mars bar, scotch egg with dijon mustard, tikka masala (home to Glasgow!), the full Scotch Breakfast (WITH haggis natch!), Haggis with Kohlrabi ( who would have thunked it), an angus burger with huntsman cheese (mmmm) and the stalwart Fish Supper (fish and fries to you and me) with MUSHY peas.
Beers on tap are good with Brooklyn lager for the hipsters and Landbier for the officianados. Wines are very interesting. Argentinian Malbec! Nice.
The staff are not in your face, cool, consistent.
Chef from Ten Tables/La Morra.
Owner from Matt Murpy's/Pub Records.
Hear they have a music vibe in the works.
Bring it on.

In a city that’s overloaded with ersatz Irish pubs, newcomers to the genre generally elicit eye rolls.
