Confused

I really like this bar, a small place where you can throw back a few and watch a game...but then one night I went to watch the fourth game of the Celtics-Lakers series and the bartender turned me and my two friends away (aged 22, 24, and 25). He said our birthdates needed to be before today's date ( this was in june, we are born august, october and november, respectively). The guy was genuinely rude; he could have just said he didn't want to serve us (as is his right) but he kept us there for 10 minutes inspecting our IDs, which are all valid. I just feel bad for the owner, but I won't go back. Larry, you're a jerk.
