The architecture and details are worth the visit. This was a magnificent theater in its day.
In its current situation, we could not hear the dialogue, we could not see the action and we paid a price that was twice what the guests next to us said they paid. It is easy to imagine, however, bygone days of wealth and excess in Boston.
Maybe it is ironic that it is called the Citi Center, Citi being another institution with its best days far behind it.
Maybe if you're an insider to the theatre scene, there are ways to get a pleasureable experience.
Otherwise, ticket buyer beware.
