Word on the street is... "Maurizio's " is our favorite Boston Italian cuisine. Service is very friendly and all the wait staff, attentive we found, even if it was not their table. Great selection of appetizers and the dinner selections fantastic- my favorite is the Sogliola Alla Parmigiana. I recently had this dish & was wowed. Of course I can't resist the wine selection .. exceptionally priced and resonable for what you get.. A real glass of wine, not a tease like in other restaurants. We cant wait to go back.

I read about this place on another online site and it definitely lived up to the hype. We got the homemade black penne pasta tossed with shrimp and the sauteed chicken with mushrooms dish. Both were amazing. Hands down the best I've ever had. Great service and we only had to wait about 15 minutes. We decided to order the dessert that they serve & coffee; also wonderful. And we found out they serve brunch too! Also we were pleasantly surprised by the value and of the wine/glass; other restaurants we visited skimp/cheat you out of a real glass of wine; this place gave you a 'Real' glass of great wine for a very reasonable price. We can't wait to go back.

Maurizios is one of those places that you'd envision taking your fiancee to when you intend to propose. It has that kind of old school charm and class. I like the location really since it's very close walking distance from very reasonable water front parking. I had the Linguine Ai Fruitti Di Mare and a spinach salad - both of which were dead-on great. The place is really all class and has a wonderful & friendly staff. A great value!

We have found our favorite restaurant. It is not pretentious, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is obviously cooked from the heart. We still consider Maurizio's a "hidden-gem" among the many restaurants in the North End and one where the chef is actually from Italy! The fried calamari is best we have ever had. If you have not been to Maurizio's you are missing authentic Italian cooking prepared by a master. Prices are reasonable, a great selection of wines that are actually affordable. You get more than your money's worth. You will not be disappointed.
