Bryan Ferry
Bryan Ferry
While fronting Roxy Music in the 1970s, Bryan Ferry devised a blueprint for art-rock, and as a solo performer, he brilliantly updated the parameters of the pop songbook. Although Ferry's solo career did include several excellent self-penned tracks, he is perhaps best known for his adventurous interpretations of a vast array of songs from the rock and pop canon....

The sign was pinned to the message board in 'Allans Music', the biggest music store in Adelaide, situated in Gawler Place in the city centre. It was August 1988, and the Adelaide live music scene was thriving....

seats smell bad

BUT it is the best venu to enjoy
music in boston! It has an unbelievable history, gorgeous fresco
ceilings, but it has fallen into
horrible disrepair..the beer soaked
seats don't exactly impress a first date..wear your 'resort clothes' as in last resort...but you will enjoy the music!

The Orpheum is hardly a dump. I went to see Queens Of The Stoneage there, and it was AWESOME! The stage is big, the place is HUGE and the sound was perfect. Beer and food are always expensive at gigs like that, maybe don't drink? The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner, but with the amount of people there, they kept up well.

A dump

The Orpheum is a dump. The place is cramped. The seats are uncomfortable(some are held together by duct tape and wire). The prices for food and beer are outrageous. Considering all the great concerts that have been held there, you would think the owners could spruce it up. It is a filthy hellhole.
