Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse

First Japanese Hibachi experience. It was a gift from someone. Did you know that there are lots of "Tokyo Steakhouses"? Don't be fooled into thinking that you can get someone a gift certificate and they can use it anywhere. Even though it was the exact name and the exact same menu, they would not honor the g.c. bought at another location. If you buy a 99 Restaurant G.C. you use it anywhere, same with Dunkin Donuts, IHOP, Chili's whatever. NOT TOKYO STEAKHOUSE!! They literally had the waitress that barely spoke english CHASE US into the parking lot to say "please speak with my manager I have not been here very long. He said this not us". Arguing got us nowhere. They would not accept it, we had to pay another way. Manager tried to tell us that "Tokyo Steakhouse was just the name for any restaurant with the hibachi cooking". Really?? Really????? The food was ok, cook was pleasant but the waitress that barely spoke English was difficult to deal with and this gift certificate nonsense was the straw that broke the camel's back. Not returning to this one. Not sure how they get away with this.
