Newburyport's experimental orchestra Tiger Saw plays the soundtrack on Saturday night to "The Adventures of Prince Achmed," the oldest surviving animated feature film.
The movie is based on "1001 Arabian Nights," so it's basically "Aladdin" but without Robin Williams and all of that singing. "Achmed" was made in 1926 by Lotte Reiniger, who used silhouette cutouts to make the picture. It's low-tech, but it might just be prettier than Pixar.
