Pa-Kua is derived from the eight trigrams of the I Ching, the Taoist Book of Changes and is one of the three major internal styles - the other two being taijiquan (tai chi) and Hsing-I. For the practitioner, Pa-Kua promotes stillness of mind, increased energy, flexibility, and strength. The beauty of Pa-Kua's circle walking with palm changes belies its renowned martial application of effective self-defense, using a combination of evasive footwork, unusual fighting angles, and rapid delivery of palm strikes.
You will learn directly from grandmaster Dr. Kay-Chi Leung, a 5th generation disciple of Pa-Kua. Dr. Leung is a master of over 10 systems of traditional Chinese martial arts (internal and external, soft and hard styles) learned from more than 15 different teachers with distinguished lineages.
