The Persecution and Assassination of Jean Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade

HRDC's Fall '09 season continues with the return of this controversial play to the Harvard stage 7 years after its last staging. Marat/Sade is ruthless, dark, and funny. The shadows of the revolution will be accompanied by a Spanish guitar, a histrionic man in a bathtub, a firebrand ex-preacher, and the other inmates of the asylum of Charenton.
