MIT Museum Presents Everything You Wanted to Know About Slide Rules

Novice and expert slide rule users welcome for a hands-on exploration of the most important engineering instrument of the twentieth century. We'll start by learning the basic principles of using a slide rule to do calculations, then try out some real-world engineering calculations on famous bridges, buildings, and spaceships. We'll also look at some special-purpose slide rules for specific applications. Limited space, 12+. Presented as part of the MIT Museum’s Cambridge Science Festival.
