The Horizon Event | 2012 MIT Sustainability Summit

The Fourth Annual MIT Sustainability Summit, The Horizon Event, brings business and social leaders together with academic researchers and students to look at the current successes, emerging solutions and new paradigms that can lead us to an environmentally and socially sustainable future.

Also joining us are Judith Layzer, Head of Environmental Policy and Planning in the MIT Department of Urban Studies; Jhonatan Rotberg, Founder and Director of MIT’s NextLab; and Jason Jay, Director of the MIT Sloan Initiative for Sustainable Business and Society.

Session topics include Sustainability and the Built Environment, The Promise of Big Data, Geoengineering Challenges, Socially-Mediated Collective Action, Transportation Alternatives, Organizational Transformation, and more.

The one-day event takes place on Friday, April 27, 2012, at the Microsoft New England Research & Development Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
