Dan Gurney was only four when he encountered an accordion for the first time. It was love at first squeeze, and he's been playing ever since. The young artist and scholar -- he received the Henry Russell Shaw Fellowship from Harvard University to pursue the study of Irish music -- spent seven months backpacking and performing across Europe. He plays his first show back in town with 17-year-old three-time All-Ireland fiddle champ Dylan Foley and guitarist Andy Collins. -- Milva DiDomizio, Globe Staff
