My Brightest Diamond
My Brightest Diamond
Mixing elements of opera, cabaret, chamber music, and rock, My Brightest Diamond was the project of singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Shara Worden. The daughter of a National Accordion Championship-winning father and a mother who was an organist for their Pentecostal church, Worden grew up in Ypsilanti, Michigan, listening to gospel, jazz, and classical music and performing in the church choir....
Pomplamoose
Pomplamoose
Pioneering the style of “VideoSongs” on YouTube, Pomplamoose is a San Francisco-based indie-pop-rock-duo comprised of Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn. With the debut of their online presence in summer 2008, Pomplamoose (a derivation of the French word for grapefruit, pamplemousse) has garnered a significant fan following ever since....
Sondre Lerche
Sondre Lerche
Norwegian singer/songwriter Sondre Lerche was an early bloomer, delivering his debut album in 2001 when he was just 19 years old. From the beginning, he displayed a natural gift for melodic, '60s-pop-influenced music, and his writing developed at a striking pace over his next few albums....
Surfer Blood
Surfer Blood
Though South Florida doesn't have the tides to shoot the curl, West Palm Beach's Surfer Blood fuse sunny surf rock charm with indie rock cool. Guitarist/vocalist John Paul Pitts and drummer Tyler Schwarz had known each other since high school; they started playing together and connected with guitarist Thomas Fekete, bassist Brian Black, and percussionist Marcos Marchesani at an Ultra Music Festival after-party, officially becoming Surfer Blood in spring 2009....
Cloud Nothings
Cloud Nothings
The sunny, raw sounds of Cloud Nothings come from an enigmatic Clevelander named Dylan, who formerly made music under the name of Cat Killer. Like many lo-fi artists of the late 2000s (particularly Wavves, Women, and Neon Tongues), Dylan took interest in reviving cassette culture, releasing his singles on tape and embracing a maxed-out recording technique in his blissful music....

3/6/2013 - Boston.com - James Reed

The restaurant, however, hasn’t quite hit its stride. It officially opened at the start of January, and its growing pains are still apparent. Beyond the missteps, which mostly center on the menu, you can see it is clearly on its way to becoming a vibrant addition to Harvard Square’s dining scene.
