I've only seen the MET broadcasts here, but the theaters they show in are wonderful. Brand-new stadium seating with plenty of legroom, good sound insulation, and beautiful huge screens. It remains to be seen if 'ordinary' screenings are immune to the problems that seem endemic to theaters these days - skeleton crews of badly-trained workers, largely absent projectionists, gruesomely repetitive pre-feature 'entertainment,' badly-maintained physical plant, and indifferent employees.
