In this class for the novice, Bob will discuss choosing the right optics, field guides, and other aids and references for the beginning birder; introduce the key elements in finding and identifying birds; and review birding etiquette and behavior in the field. After becoming familiar with the fundamentals, you’ll venture into the best birding habitats in the Arboretum to practice using your equipment and search for some of the many wonderful birds that can be seen on the grounds. The first two sessions meet at the Hunnewell Building; the third meets at the Walter Street Gate. Fee $50 member, $60 nonmember
