Harriet Quimby was the first licensed American female pilot. She was the first female to fly solo across the English Channel on April 16, 1912, the day after the Titanic sank, and received little mention of her feat because of it. Come hear Giacinta Bradley Koontz present a costumed talk about this pioneering pilot who was featured on a U.S. Airmail Stamp in 1991.
