Gloucester Schooner Festival

The Gloucester Schooner Festival honors the importance of the classic fishing schooner to the history of Gloucester, the nation’s oldest fishing port. For three days, Gloucester Harbor hosts a mix of old and new, as modern-day fishermen share their home port with the traditional vessels of an earlier era. The festival features a spectator-friendly,narrated race of the last remaining schooners and their replicas, followed by schooner deck tours, a lighted boat parade and fireworks.
