Archaeologist and curator Timothy Kendall shares the stories of his grandfather and great-uncle, who volunteered as ambulance drivers in the American Field Service (founded by Gloucester residents A. Piatt Andrew and Henry Davis Sleeper) during World War I. The program continues with a talk by George King III who recreated a 1916 field hospital vehicle and concludes with a viewing of scenes from Our American Boys at War in Europe, the film used to recruit volunteers and funds for the effort.
