Walking Tour of Hyde Square

Come along to this tour which features residential and architectural history as well as a look at a “workers’ utopia” housing district. Learn about the evolution of Hyde Square from a German immigrant neighborhood to a Latino immigrant one. Now, Hyde Square is known as "the Latin Quarter" and Centre St is called "Avenida de las Americas". We'll examine the former site of Blessed Sacrament Church, which is being redeveloped into housing.
