RI Wild Plant Society Walk: Spring Wildflowers

The Chase Reservoir preserve (Killingly, CT), an area of rich soils and greenstone ledges, is just two miles from the Rhode Island border yet several plants considered rare in Rhode Island flourish there. We should see Blue Cohosh, Purple Trillium, Blood-root, Round-lobed Hepatica and Downy Yellow Violets. These "spring ephemerals" bloom before the trees leaves block out the sun. Come enjoy the show.
