Civil War Exhibit & Tour of Historic Hearthside House Museum

A special exhibit featuring artifacts from RI & Mass. Civil War soldiers adds to the museum tour given by docents in period attire at this 200-year old house. Visitors experience what life might have been like during the 19th century, with kids playing colonial games and a cook in the kitchen preparing a meal. An exhibit of antique looms and spinning wheels that were used on the 3rd floor 100 years ago has just opened, with regular weaving demonstrations being given.
