The Tufts Jazz Orchestra

Praise God and Dance – Sacred and secular dance inspired by African Diaspora traditions are the focus for this program led by conductor Joel LaRue Smith. The TJO mounts the stage performing Duke Ellington’s sacred dance pieces as well as secular dance music by North American and Latin American composers.
